Four TV commercials for Clint Eastwood‘s Sully (2016) have premiered. The first TV spot gives the viewer a frame work for the entire film, showing cause and effect. The second TV spot is more about the crash itself. What was going through Captain Chesley B. Sullenberger III (Tom Hanks) head during the event. The third Sully TV spot looks at Captain Sullenberger’s mental state after the crash. The fourth TV spot is basically a drama commercial showing the crisis and the different angles of the incident.

Sully‘s plot synopsis: based on the book by Captain Chesley B. Sullenberger III, “On January 15, 2009, the world witnessed the “Miracle on the Hudson” when Captain “Sully” Sullenberger (Tom Hanks) glided his disabled plane onto the frigid waters of the Hudson River, saving the lives of all 155 aboard. However, even as Sully was being heralded by the public and the media for his unprecedented feat of aviation skill, an investigation was unfolding that threatened to destroy his reputation and his career.”

Sully also stars Anna Gunn, Aaron Eckhart, Sam Huntington, Laura Linney, Autumn Reeser, Jerry Ferrara, Jeff Kober, Holt McCallany, Tracee Chimo, Chris Bauer, Mike O’Malley, Valerie Mahaffey, Gary Weeks, and Max Adler.
