Teen Titans TV Series Might Begin Shooting in The Fall

The upcoming live-action Teen Titans series is receiving a lot of buzz as DC Entertainment is looking to launch it’s own brand of content in their new web service. News has been floating around that the new series may begin shooting as soon as this Fall.

An employment website for the film industry posted several openings for the live-action Teen Titans series that will air in WB’s new digital streaming service. My Entertainment World revealed that filming would begin on September 25th in Atlanta, Georgia. Despite many superhero shows typically film in Vancouver, it looks like Teen Titans may join the likes of The CW’s Black Lightning as it is also filming in Atlanta. When the show was being developed for TNT, it was suppose to shoot in Toronto during the summer of 2015 before being postponed to October. Since then, the cable network decided to scrap the series. With the show being shot in Atlanta, we may see some quality in filmmaking for the series. Atlanta has become the most popular location for shooting shows and films as it has hosted films for Marvel and TV shows such as The Walking Dead.

Geoff Johns, Akiva Goldsman, and Greg Berlanti will be in charge of writing the pilot. The series has already confirmed to get released in 2018. The series will follow Dick Grayson as he leads a team of other wannabe superheroes including Starfire, Raven, and a few others. Johns has implied that the series will also feature Beast Boy.
