Mark Hamill Discusses The Trickster’s Role in The Flash. It was a while ago when it was announced that The CW’s The Flash brought in Mark Hamill to reprise his role as supervillain Trickster from the 90s version of The Flash. However, he won’t be the same one as fans remembered.
Mark Hamill’s new version of The Trickster on The Flash will be more of “an anarchist terrorist con man serving a life sentence in Iron Heights.” Also, the Flash will be using his help in catching a copycat Trickster who is taking the name and his chaotic approach to crime.
In an interview with IGN, Mark Hamill assured fans that they wouldn’t be disappointed with the new Trickster, saying that there would be some surprising twists in store for the character. “When they asked me to be a part of it, the last thing I was thinking was that I would be returning to that specific role, but I think you’re going to be really pleased with what they’ve come up with,” the Star Wars actor said. “It was totally unexpected.”
Hamill, who is set to reprise his role as Luke Skywalker in the upcoming film Star Wars: The Force Awakens, described the feeling of returning to his old roles. “It’s like putting on an old pair of pants in the back of the closet and finding out there’s a 20 dollar bill in the pocket. It’s like ‘Oh, wow! I forgot all about this!’” Hamill told IGN. “And it’s more enjoyable because it’s so unexpected.”
