THE FLASH: Premiere Draws 4.5 Million Viewers

The Flash CW

The Flash Debuts With 4.5 Million Viewers. Last night’s series premiere of The Flash dashed through the ratings as the pilot drew in 4.5 million viewers. Landing in the 1.8 rating, this was become The CWs best numbers in five years.

According to TVByTheNumbers, The Flash’s stellar ratings even beat its parent show Arrow during its debut by half a million viewers. The Flash has become the third most watched series premiere behind The Vampire Diaries and 90210. In the Tuesday-at-8 timeslot, the speedster’s debut came in second behind NBC yet it beat ABC and Fox in total viewers. The Flash has also become The CW’s most watched show in its time slot in more than seven years.

With the show performing this good, The Flash can become a flagship series for the network along with Arrow. It’s too soon to tell if the show will stabilize it’s numbers in the next few weeks of its run, but based on the reactions to the pilot it wouldn’t be a surprise if the show does well for its freshman season.

In case any of you missed last night’s episode, you can catch the premiere again tonight at 9PM after the third season premiere of Arrow.
