Robbie Amell Discusses Possibility Of Firestorm Reappearing In The Flash

The Flash actor Robbie Amell talked about the chances of Firestorm somehow returning to the show after his death in the second season.

Fans of the show will remember that the recurring character gave his own life to save Central City last season, with an evil version of Ronnie Raymond that went by the name Deathstorm and came from an alternate universe appearing in a later episode and also meeting an untimely demise. With this in mind, many hope that the original version of the character might somehow return, but Amell appeared somewhat skeptical about the prospects of such a development:

“Well the nice thing is when you’re dead in that universe there is always another Earth, but I think that version [Earth-1] of Ronnie is dead because he sacrificed himself to save the city, but you know there is always Earth-3, Earth-4, Earth-5…”

Amell was also asked whether he’d be open to play a Marvel character, or if he remained committed to the DC brand. “No, I have no loyalties,” Amell said. “[DC has] killed me a couple of times, and I’ll always gladly go back. But, at the same time, I’m a huge fan of Marvel movies. I like what they’re doing. It has less to do with it being Marvel or DC and more just being a character that I’m interested in and speaks to me.”
