The Host Trailer. Andrew Niccol‘s The Host (2013) teaser trailer stars Saoirse Ronan, Diane Kruger, Jake Abel, William Hurt, and Chandler Canterbury. The Host‘s plot synopsis: “Our world has been invaded by an unseen enemy. Humans become hosts for these invaders, their minds taken over while their bodies remain intact. Most of humanity has succumbed…One soul, the Wanderer, is fused with a captured human named Melanie Stryder, in an attempt to locate the last pocket of surviving humans on Earth.”
I haven’t seen a teaser this barren in a long time. It makes the viewer want to read the book more than see the film.
The Host also stars Boyd Holbrook, Frances Fisher, and Max Irons.
