Netflix Looking to Develop TV Adaptation of The Legend of Zelda. Netflix has been on a roll developing series for its original programming slate and their next one will blow fans away. The reason is because the online service is looking to make a TV series based on The Legend of Zelda.

The Wall Street Journal spilled some intel that Netflix are looking to develop a live-action TV series based on one of the best-selling video game franchises in history. According to the company, they are looking to create a family-friendly version of Game of Thrones. Nintendo seems to be on board and they are on the search for writers to help develop the potential series. Despite some uncertainty on whether the TV series would remain faithful to the video games, fret not. Nintendo plans to keep a close eye on development on their property. There hasn’t been any more news on the develop as the project is still in it’s early stages, so it may not even take off if it doesn’t work for either parties.

Zelda has been a big name for Nintendo ever since its introduction in 1986. The video game series takes place in the fictional land of Hyrule, and it’s a story about a warrior named Link who is on a quest to save Princess Zelda from the evil wizard Ganon. The Zelda series expanded into toys, comics, and even a short-lived animated series. It is one of the most popular properties from Nintendo, with the company working on a new title for their Wii U system.
