The Walking Dead: The Cell Trailer & Clip
AMC‘s The Walking Dead ‘The Cell’ trailer & clip stars Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Chandler Riggs, Danai Gurira, Lauren Cohan, Sonequa Martin-Green, Alanna Masterson, Christian Serratos, Josh McDermitt, Seth Gilliam, Ross Marquand, Austin Nichols, Austin Amelio, Logan Miller, Xander Berkeley, Tom Payne, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
The next piece to be set, putting together Negan’s (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) ‘new beginning,’ includes the D & D Grievance Factory of Daryl (Norman Reedus) & Dwight (Austin Nichols).
Daryl has been designated Negan’s personal high-card, against Rick (Andrew Lincoln) regrowing a pair – and after having made his ‘point,’ viewers are likely to take this development seriously. Daryl’s going to be put through the ringer; but not (just) because the Saviors are pricks, and Dwight has history with him (and prints on his property). No, Daryl caught Negan’s eye, as someone who “don’t scare easy.”
Not to be a dick, Daryl fans, but the odds have Negan coming out the other end of this process in better shape.
For easier itch to scratch, Dwight, however, the episode may amount to a case of buyer’s remorse. Between the terror reign of Negan & Lucille, his own personal ‘atonement’, and enough quiet time to take in some of the Sanctuary’s day to day reality, Dwight may have reason to reconsider his initial encounter with Daryl.
Not that a Daryl out is really much of a prospect, at this point; nor are fans likely to be feeling any attempts at a Dwight redemption.
Still, with Wolves coming to heel, and all (then still getting comeuppance), there should be some cynical fun to be had, watching any such attempt; so let’s see Dwight stew for a bit (maybe even out his face, at some point… even).
