THOR: RAGNAROK (2017): Tom Hiddleston Talks Future Of Loki

Tom Hiddleston Thor

Tom Hiddleston discusses playing Loki after Thor: Ragnarok. The Avengers and Crimson Peak star touched upon the chances of the widely-popular Marvel villain being featured in additional movies.

Hiddleston has been keeping himself just as busy outside of the Marvel cinematic universe as he has in it. After collaborating with Guillermo Del Toro on the aforementioned Crimson Peak, the actor is now set to play a role in Kong: Skull Island, a reboot of the King Kong franchise.

Meanwhile, curious interviewers have been trying to get him to open up about the next installment in the Thor series. In addition to being asked about whether he thinks Loki will appear after Ragnarok, he was asked about the chance of working alongside Cate Blanchett in the film:

About Thor: Ragnarok and potentially sharing scenes with Cate Blanchett, who is all but confirmed to play Hela, Goddess of Death, Hiddleston said, “That would be extraordinary.” He added, “I don’t know if she’s definitely doing it, but obviously she’s an extraordinary actress. If she’s up for coming to Asgard, that would be interesting. [Ragnarok] is coming around. I saw Chris Hemsworth in Australia. He lives about an hour away from where we were shooting Kong: Skull Island, and he was full of beans about Thor 3.In a separate interview with the Daily Beast, Tom Hiddleston had talked a bit more about his fourth (and final?) time playing Loki on the big-screen. Thor 3 will be cool because I’ve not done it for four years,” he explained. “I love working with Chris [Hemsworth]. This will be my last time out of the gate.” So, does this mean the mischief-maker might not return when The Avengers take on Thanos in Infinity War? “I don’t know! Honestly, I don’t know,” he replied. “They haven’t got their ducks in a row yet. They make it up as they go along.”
