True Blood is Ending on August 24. HBO‘s True Blood is ending its vampire horror run at the end of the month on August 24, 2014. Like Dexter, the writing for the last few seasons of True Blood has been declining in quality and cohesion. When the announcement was made that season 7 would be its last season, many saw this as merciful i.e. HBO euthanizing an ailing dog.
