Gotham, Vikings, Of Kings and Prophets, and other TV shows have all made recent TV show news by being renewed for an additional season or cancelled. These shows air on Fox, History, and ABC.

Gotham (Fox)

Gotham has been renewed for a third season and will feature twenty-two episodes. Season two of Gotham averaged 9 million per episode “across multiple platforms” and was popular among 18-49-year-olds.

Vikings (History)

Vikings has been renewed for a fifth season and will feature twenty episodes.

Vikings is the No. 1 telecast on Thursday nights on cable in all key demos in Live +3, pulling in 4.2 million total viewers, 2.1 million Adults 25-54 and 1.9 million Adults 18-49.

Of Kings and Prophets (ABC)

Of Kings and Prophets has been canceled.

Of Kings and Prophets opened with a dismal 0.8 Live+same day rating in adults 18-49…Then Of Kings of Prophets dropped almost -40% to a 0.5 18-49 in its second outing earlier this week, a ratings level rarely seen for an original program on a Big 4 network.

Growing Up Hip Hop (WE tv)

Growing Up Hip Hop has been renewed for a second season. The show “averaged 966k viewers per episode, including 625k adults 18-49 and 466k women 25-54 in live+7” while also garnering  “1.4 million video on demand plays during its season.”
