The Walking Dead, Season 1, Episode 2 ā€“ entitled Guts ā€“ carried on with the fireworks from the first episode, posted here: The Walking Dead: Season 1, Ep. 1: Days Gone Bye but with bloody creativity and additional new characters. The running tank escape was better than expected and the new characters add new dimensions to the story.

The plot is constantly driving home that this is not an action TV series but a drama with a whole bunch of action thrown in. Even at the end of the world, racism still exists, jokes (dumbass is said about six times during the first half hour), and coital lust is never far from the mind

My favorite part of the episode was the escape from the department store, the survivors smearing the dead all over themselves was brilliant. Now the survivors have a Hail Mary if they get trapped by the dead again. Iā€™m surprised no other horror writers thought of that before.

Where the hell was Glenn (Steven Yeun) going at the end of the episode?
