The Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 9 Triggerfinger Review. The Walking Dead: Season 2, Episode 9: Triggerfinger showcased the aftermath of the bar killings at the end of Nebraska (written about here: TV Review: The Walking Dead: Season 2, Episode 9: Triggerfinger) and Lori Grimes (Sarah Wayne Callies)’s car crash.
The gang outside the bar must have been really good friends with the dead people in the bar to start a shoot out over them at night. Being out at night in Walker World is a no-no because the dark conceals the silent Walkers better. They must have known that the gun fire would draw any Walkers in earshot into the town but the fools outside the bar still shot off their guns.
Shane Walsh (Jon Bernthal) continues to lie and lie to get his way and he is beginning to erode trust in the very people he is trying to protect.
I was really happy and drawn in by how Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan) and Glenn (Steven Yeun)’s relationship affected Glenn in this episode. I wondered why he suddenly faltered in the bar gun battle. When the viewer finds out why and Maggie for a second feels happy and sad about it. When Glenn walked away from her and her embrace, it was as if he was walking away from his relationship with her as well. That is probably not the case but it might be.
Lori doesn’t want to admit to Shane but she was in love with him before Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) showed up alive. Now Lori knows the type of person Shane has become and what she is dealing with. How Rick handles it should be interesting.
