Netflix Casts Colm Feore, Cameron Britton And More In Umbrella Academy

Colm Feore, Cameron Britton, Adam Godley, and Ashley Madekwe have all been cast in Netflix’s planned original series Umbrella Academy.

Coming from Universal Cable Productions, the superhero series is slated to make its debut on the streaming service sometime this year and have 10 episodes in its first season. Gerard Way, Steve Blackman,  Mike Richardson, and Keith Goldberg will all serve as executive producers.

Feore and company are far from the first actors to be cast in the show. In fact, Mary J. Blige, Tom Hopper, Ellen Page, and Emmy Raver-Lampman are among those who have already been tapped to act in the program.

Superherohype offers the following information about the planned show:

Based on the popular, Eisner award-winning comics and graphic novels of the same name created and written by Gerard Way (My Chemical Romance), illustrated by Gabriel Bá, and published by Dark Horse Comics, the live-action series follows the estranged members of a dysfunctional family of superheroes (The Umbrella Academy) – Luther (Hopper), Diego (Castañeda), Allison (Raver-Lampman), Vanya (Page), Klaus (Sheehan) and Number Five (Gallagher) – as they work together to solve their father Reginald Hargreeves’ mysterious death, while coming apart at the seams due to their divergent personalities and abilities.
