Under The Dome and Coach Canceled, Dark Matters, and Killjoys Renewed. CBSUnder The Dome has been canceled (it will not be renewed for a fourth season). Season 3, its current season, will be the last season for the series. The cancellation news is not surprising. The show debuted with 13.53 million viewers, averaging 11.19 viewers per episode. Those numbers dropped from Season One to Season Three with Season Three only averaging  4.8 million viewers per episode.

From what I have read, fans of Under the Dome will be given closure. Hopefully, it will be more satisfying than the conclusions to Dexter and Hannibal. The final episode of Under the Dome airs on September 10, 2015 at 10 pm.

Syfy has renewed freshmen series Dark Matter and Killjoys for second seasons. Though they are both getting second season runs, their lengths will be somewhat different. Killjoys will be ten episodes long while Dark Matters will be thirteen episodes long.

Dark Horse…averaged 1.8 million viewers in its first season on Syfy.

Killjoys…Season 1 averaged 1.5 million viewers in Live + 3 day numbers.

If Dark Matters or Killjoys received the numbers in their first season that Under The Dome‘s third and final season is receiving, both shows may have been renewed for two or three seasons in advance.

The Coach reboot has been canceled by NBC.

The decision comes after weeks of rumblings about creative issues on the project, which has filmed only a pilot episode…I hear response to the reboot had been mixed, with some sources indicating that it felt dated. Creative differences between NBC and the producers led to the show being cancelled by the network. Sibling studio Universal TV will be shopping the series elsewhere, I hear.
