Ian Somerhalder Joins The Cast Of Netflix’s V-Wars
Ian Somerhalder has been added to the cast of Netflix’s planned in-house TV series V-Wars.
Television viewers who have been following the science fiction and supernatural genres for the past decade or so are bound to recognize Somerhalder. After appearing in such productions as Young Americans and The Rules of Attraction, he got his big break as Boone Carlyle on J.J. Abrams’ wildly popular series Lost. More recently, he played a regular role on The CW’s horror drama The Vampire Series.
Based on the IDW comic series of the same name, V-Wars is set for a 10-episode premiere season. It is unsure when exactly the program will make its debut on the streaming service.

Somerhalder will be portraying the starring character, Dr. Luther Swann, in V-Wars. Swann gets introduced to the horrific world of the vampiric when his best friend, Michael Fayne, succumbs to the disease, turning into a vampire and feeding on the blood of others. It doesn’t take long for the disease to spread. And, much like the bubonic plague, the disease influences society’s fracture and disarray into chaos. Swann will race against the clock to figure out how to save his friend.
