X-MEN: APOCALYPSE (2016): First Look at Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler

First Image of Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler in X-Men: Apocalypse. As X-Men: Apocalypse starting production this week, director Bryan Singer gave fans a sneak peak at one of the characters in the film. The character was unveiled as Nightcrawler, played by Kodi Smit-McPhee.

Posted on his Instagram page, Singer provided a first look at the teleporting mutant as production kicks off this week. The image shows Smit-McPhee as a younger version of Nightcrawler. The last time Kurt Wagner was on screen was in X-Men 2 played by Alan Cumming. Everyone has wondered when our favorite blue teleporting mutant would return, until Singer announced that a younger version of the character would return in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse.

There’s also been a tweet from screenwriter Simon Kinberg regarding Nightcrawler in which he wrote, ”Don’t blink or you’ll miss it. Check out this first look of @KodiSmitMcpheee as #Nightcrawler in #XMenApocalypse.”
