X-Men: Days of Future Past Gets Extended Rogue’s Cut for 2015. With X-Men: Days of Future Past coming to DVD and Blu-ray on October 14, don’t expect to see Rogue’s scenes that were cut from the film in this release. An extended version, however, may give fans what they want.

An extended version of the movie called “Rogue’s Cut” will have a deleted sequence featuring Anna Paquin’s Rogue and will be released in home video during the summer 0f 2015. Writer and producer Simon Kinberg spoke with Variety about the extended cut. “It’s a big chunk,” Simon Kinberg said. “A substantial part of the movie. We want to give [fans] the fullest picture of the film — behind the camera, and in front of it.”

The Rogue’s Cut edition of the film will run at least 10 minutes longer than the theatrical version. “Every movie has scenes that are cut out, but not every movie has scenes cut out with such a beloved character,” Kinberg added.

Along with Rogue, the extended version will also feature cameos from other X-Men characters in the film franchise. Anna Paquin played Rogue in the original X-Men trilogy and appeared in X-Men: Days of Future Past in a small cameo. The reason for Rogue’s scenes being cut were because the film didn’t fit with the final version of the film, which was revolved around Charles Xavier, played by James McAvoy.

The film also stars Hugh JackmanJennifer Lawrence, Patrick Stewart, Michael Fassbender, Ian McKellenHalle Berry, Nicholas Hoult, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore and Peter Dinklage among its enormous cast.
