Fox Puts In Pilot Order For New X-Men Series
Fox has committed to a pilot for the network’s upcoming X-Men program set to be made in conjunction with Marvel Television.
While 20th Century Fox still retains the rights to producing X-Men movies, the company’s TV division will cooperate with Marvel on the as of now unnamed spin-off series. Despite this, the show will not tie into the Marvel Cinematic Universe continuity but instead take place in the same timeline as Fox’s X-Men film franchise. This also differentiates the project from FX‘s similarly-themed Legion, which will take place in the X-Men universe but will generally avoid overlapping with it.
