xXx: The Return of Xander Cage Trailer 2

The second movie trailer for xXx: The Return of Xander Cage (2017) has been released by Paramount Pictures. Though the first film trailer for xXx: The Return of Xander Cage showed some of it, this trailer shows even more of the outrageous moments this film has in store for viewers.

There is preposterous stunted stacked on top of preposterous stunt in this trailer and presumably in this film. In a superhero film, these would be par for the course. Xander Cage (Vin Diesel), however, is not a superhero nor does he have enhanced abilities.

I get that the producers of this film want to make it exciting. Bond’s producers wanted the same thing so in Skyfall they gave him a film with a great plot, villain, and character exploration. Why didn’t the producers of xXx 3 do the same? Instead, they took normal action scenes and injected them with NOS.

Grounding the xXx: The Return of Xander Cage in reality would have done the film a world of good. Instead, the producers went comic book with the film. Bad choice.

xXx: The Return of Xander Cage‘s plot synopsis: “Xander Cage is left for dead after an incident, though he secretly returns to action for a new, tough assignment with his handler Augustus Gibbons.”

D.J. Caruso‘s xXx: The Return of Xander Cage also stars Deepika Padukone, Hermione Corfield, Conor McGregor, Kris Wu, Al SapienzaNina Dobrev, Samuel L. Jackson, Toni Collette, Donnie Yen, Ruby Rose, Andrey Ivchenko, Helena-Alexis Seymour, Michael Bisping, and Megan Soo.
