Michael Green Becomes Showrunner for FX’s Y: The Last Man

With Y: The Last Man being developed as a television series for FX, the cable network has found a showrunner to develop the series with creator Brian K. Vaughn. Michael Green, who’s credits include Heroes and Smallville, will serve as showrunner on the potential series.

The Hollywood Reporter first broke the news that Michael Green will help transition the comic book series into the small screen. For a quick synopsis, the story follows Yorick Brown, a young man who, along with his monkey, has survived an apocalyptic event that kills off every creature with a Y chromosome, leaving only women left on the planet. He teams up with government operative 355 to unlock the truth behind this plague and why he is the only male who is alive.

Brian K. Vaughn has worked under both comics and TV, having worked as a writer on LOST and also served as a showrunner on the CBS series Under The Dome.
