AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR (2018): Adam Warlock Not Making an Appearance

Adam Warlock Not Appearing in Avengers: Infinity War

If you have seen Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2, then you may have found out during the credits that the film teased the appearance of Adam Warlock. The character is a popular one in the comics, but will he be in Avengers: Infinity War? Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like he will.

We saw in the third post-credits scene that Ayesha (Elizabeth Debicki) was planning her next move against the Guardians. We spot a cocoon, in which she names it Adam. This was a nod to Marvel character Adam Warlock. Even though he will certainly appear in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, fans were hoping to at least see him in next year’s Avengers: Infinity War. However, they will be disappointed to know that he won’t be showing up with The Avengers anytime soon. During a Facebook Live session about the post-credit scenes, director James Gunn revealed that Adam Warlock won’t be in Avengers: Infinity War. “Adam Warlock will not be in Infinity War … he will have a future in the MCU. But will it be in Infinity War? It will not.”

Seeing Adam Warlock with the Guardians in Avengers: Infinity War would’ve been every fan’s dream, but if Gunn has any say about it, it’s probably best for Adam to sit this one out and be prepared for his appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Are you upset that Adam won’t be fighting against Thanos in The Avengers’ next adventure?
