Doctor Strange To Return in Avengers: Infinity War

It’s no surprise hearing this, but in case anyone didn’t, Benedict Cumberbatch has confirmed that he’ll be reprising the role as Doctor Strange in Avengers: Infinity War. This confirms our belief that this may soon turn out to be one of the biggest superhero movies ever.

The Russo Brothers have proven themselves this year that they have the manpower to handle a packed superhero film with Captain America: Civil War. The directors will now have to step it up in order to add a bunch of new heroes into the mix with Avengers: Infinity War. Even though Marvel hasn’t officially confirmed which of the characters will appear in the big superhero team-up, the Guardians of the Galaxy’s chances are looking good, and now Doctor Strange is actually going to be in it.

Speaking with Empire (via Express UK), actor Benedict Cumberbatch revealed that he will be reprising his role as the Sorcerer Supreme in the upcoming film. Discussing the challenges of getting all the actors together, he said, “To get us all together will be quite something. That’s why this character is being introduced, to open up the next chapter. So watch this space to see how that unfolds.”

Not surprised by this news, but it’s nice to know that it is confirmed. Before seeing him with The Avengers, audiences will see Cumberbatch bring Doctor Strange to life when the solo film releases in theaters in November.
