The Dark Tower Gets It’s First Official Teaser Poster

Stephen King’s The Dark Tower is finally coming to life in the new feature adaptation, and we have our first poster from the film. The new poster shows Idris Elba as the Gunslinger as he walks alongside Tom Taylor as his young protégé Jake Chambers.

Even though The Dark Tower doesn’t come out until next summer, Sony Pictures isn’t going to stop promoting the film. The new teaser poster was just released from the studio’s official Twitter Page with the logline that reads: “May Your Days Be Long Upon The Earth.” Sony simply tweeted this good response: “And may you have twice the number.” It’s quite interesting that the poster is mentioning twice the number of days as the delay will have fans waiting an extra six months for the film to come out. No trailer has come out yet besides the one that leaked two months ago, but it wasn’t complete shots from the film.

The new film takes place right after the last book and has our brooding hero traveling to the southeast in a post-apocalyptic world searching for the mysterious Dark Tower. Considered the heard of all worlds, the Gunslinger must reach it first before his arch nemesis the Man in Black (Matthew McConaughey) gets to it himself to plunge the world into chaos.
