20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
Bryan Singer…has announced his next project will be 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, an adaptation of the classic novel by Jules Verne.
As you can see above, Rick Sordelet and Dan Studney scripted 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Singer helped provide the story. Studney was one of several writers who worked on Singer’s Jack the Giant Slayer. Sordelet’s IMDb profile indicates he’s a stunt coordinator.
First published in serialized form between 1869 and 1870, Verne’s 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea chronicles the fantastical underwater adventures of the submarine Nautilus, led by the enigmatic Captain Nemo.
Battle of the Sexes

Paul Sorvino, James Caan and Jessica Walter are set to star in indie thriller “From Here to Infirmity”
The film follows Jake, a teenager who teams up with his badass grandfather Lou and his old war buddy, Smitty, to rescue the girl he loves from a bad guy.
Sorvino will play Smitty while Caan will play Jake’s grandfather.
The film will be directed by Erik Canuel…the script was written by Jeffrey Alan Schechter.

Ellie Bamber will join the cast of Tom Ford’s Nocturnal Animals…Ellie will play the daughter of Tony (Jake Gyllenhaal) and Susan.
Resident Evil: The Final Chapter
[Resident Evil: The Final Chapter]…has grown with the addition of Iain Glen, Shawn Roberts, Ruby Rose, Eoin Macken and William Levy.
Ouija 2
Elizabeth Reaser…is joining Annalise Basso in Ouija 2…The project will be directed by Mike Flanagan, who will co-write the screenplay with Jeff Howard
Bastards
Glenn Close is in final negotiations to join J.K. Simmons, Owen Wilson, Ed Helms, Terry Bradshaw and Ving Rhames in the comedy Bastards. The film…is about two brothers (Wilson and Helms) whose eccentric mother fabricates a story that their father died when they were young. When they find out the story is false, they make it their mission to find their real father.
The Mrs. Reynolds role played by Close is a pivotal one in the film as she must be believable as a one-time wild party girl from the 1970s who slept around. She must also be believable as a woman with a big heart as the truth that comes out later is much more complicated.
Both Simmons and Bradshaw (who plays himself) play potential father figures.
