Wildling

Bel Powley will star in Fritz Bohm’s Wildling alongside Liv Tyler

The story centers on young Anna (Bel Powley) who spends her entire childhood in a single room under the care of a mysterious man she only knows as “Daddy” (Brad Dourif). He makes her fear the “Outside” by telling her of the “Wildling”, a creature with sharp teeth and claws who roams about eating little children. At age 16, Anna is freed by small-town sheriff Ellen Champney (Liv Tyler) with whom she finds a temporary home. For the first time in her life, Anna experiences the Outside, soon learning there’s no such thing as the Wildling. But as she begins to flourish as a young woman, a series of unsettling events unfolds. James LeGros will portray the Wolf Man, an eccentric shaman who lives in the forest.

German director Fritz Bohm makes his feature debut…Bohm also co-wrote the screenplay along with Florian Eder and David C. Palmer.

Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock

Channing Tatum and the Weinstein Co. have set Mike Vukadinovich to write Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock, the feature project that sees Tatum make his directorial debut alongside Reid Carolin. The project is an adaptation of Matthew Quick’s YA book of the same name about a high school student who plans to kill his best friend and then himself. In addition to co-directing and co-producing his Free Association banner and along with the company’s Peter Kiernan, Tatum would also potentially star as a brave teacher who tries to intervenes.

Freak Show

Trudie Styler will produce and direct the film adaptation of James St. James best-seller Freak Show which already has Bette Midler, AnnaSophia Robb, Ian Nelson and Lorraine Toussaint on board.

Freak Show tells the story of Billy Bloom, a funny, good-hearted, cross-dressing teen who becomes the new student at an ultra-conservative high school. Although accosted with Bible thumpers, the jocks, the bullies, Billy takes a stand. Determined to be who he is and not bow to peer pressure, he refuses to change his outlandish outfits or behavior. Instead, he decides to run for Homecoming Queen for outcasts and underdogs everywhere.

Midler is set to play Muv, Billy’s mother.

Robb and Nelson will play Billy’s friends ‘Blah Blah Blah’ and ‘Flip,’ while Toussaint portrays Billy’s nanny, Flossie.

Thor: Ragnarok

Taika Waititi…is in negotiations with Marvel to direct Thor: Ragnarok

Waititi…will be directing a script by Thor: The Dark World co-scribe Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle, Marvel’s SVP Production and Development, recruiting to the scribe side by Marvel boss Kevin Feige.

Flatliners

Ellen Page is in early talks to join the cast of Sony’s remake of the 1990 sci-fi thriller “Flatliners”

Niels Arden Oplev is on board to direct with a screenplay by Ben Ripley.

Fast and Furious

F. Gary Gray has emerged as the frontrunner to direct the next chapter in the “Fast and Furious” franchise for Universal Pictures…producers Vin Diesel and Neal Moritz to decide between Gray and one other director whose identity remains unknown (likely Louis Leterrier), though Gray looks to have the edge at this point.

Okja

Jake Gyllenhaal, Paul Dano, Kelly Macdonald and Bill Nighy are poised to join Tilda Swinton in “Okja,” a multilingual monster movie from “Snowpiercer” director Bong Joon-ho

Details surrounding the project remain vague, but it is said to feature a Korean female lead and a host of English-language supporting actors whose scenes will be set in New York.

The Flash

Seth Grahame-Smith will direct “The Flash” for Warner Bros…The Justice League member will be introduced in director Zack Snyder‘s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”

The Book of Henry

Maddie Ziegler and Bobby Moynihan (“Saturday Night Live”) have joined the cast of Colin Trevorrow’s drama “The Book of Henry”

The Yellow Bird

Jack Huston is stepping into the role previously eyed by Benedict Cumberbatch in war drama The Yellow Birds opposite Tye Sheridan and Alden Ehrenreich. Jennifer Aniston also is joining the film directed by the project’s new director, Alexandre Moors.

the story follows two young soldiers who become friends in boot camp and the elder (the 21-year-old Sheridan) promises to take care of his buddy (Ehrenreich), but it becomes increasingly difficult in wartime. Huston plays Staff Sgt. Sterling. Aniston plays the younger boy’s mother.

What Happened To Monday?

Robert Wagner is joining Noomi Rapace, Glenn Close and Willem Dafoe on the sci-fi action thriller What Happened To Monday?

Wagner will play Charles Benning, a respected TV newsman in the vein of Edward R. Murrow. The cast is rounded out by Philippe Rousselet Marwan Kenzari, Christian Rubeck and Pal Sverre Hagen.

Little Pink House

Jeanne Tripplehorn and Callum Keith Rennie have joined Little Pink House

Tripplehorn will play Charlotte Wells, the wealthy New London citizen who led the town’s efforts to seize the land, while Rennie will play Tim LeBlanc, Susette’s love interest and moral support throughout the crisis.
