The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Man of Steel 2, and other movies have all made recent film casting news. These films come from movie studios Lionsgate, Universal Pictures, The Weinstein Company, and  Warner Bros..

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire – Pt. 1 and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire – Pt. 2 (Lionsgate)

Lionsgate.. is replacing Lily Rabe in the role of Commander Lyme with Gwendoline Christie, who plays Brienne on HBO’s Game Of Thrones.

Rabe was forced to drop out due to a scheduling conflict with a previous commitment to Much Ado About Nothing at Shakespeare in the Park. Commander Lyme, one of the leaders of District 13, hails from District 2 and is a past winner in a previously unknown installment of Hunger Games.

Man of Steel 2 aka Batman vs. Superman (Warner Bros.)

Warner Bros has added Holly Hunter, 300: Rise Of An Empire star Callan Mulvey, and The Wolverine‘s Tao Okamoto to join Henry Cavill (Superman), Ben Affleck (Batman), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor), Jeremy Irons (Alfred), and Man Of Steel returnees Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane in the Zack Snyder-directed film.

The Man On Carrion Road

John Leguizamo, Lynn Collins and Jim Belushi have joined the cast of thriller The Man On Carrion Road for director Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego.

The Veil  (Universal Pictures)

Meegan Warner has been cast in horror pic The Veil for Blumhouse Productions and Universal. Jessica Alba, Thomas Jane and Lily Rabe star in the horror pic about the lone survivor of a cult’s mass suicide who returns to the scene with a documentary film crew 30 years later. Warner will play Ann, one of the members of the documentary film crew led by Alba.

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon II: The Green Destiny (The Weinstein Company)

Donnie Yen has… just closed his deal to star in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon II: The Green Destiny, which Woo-ping Yuen is directing from a John Fusco script for The Weinstein Company.

Match Maker

Will Ferrell is now attached to play [Bobby] Riggs, and The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty scribe Steven Conrad has been hired to write the script.
