A international TV show commercial from Greece has premiered for the seventh season of Game of Thrones. The Greek TV spot is comprised almost entirely of new footage not found in the first and second trailer for the TV series.
Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) begins making herself at home at Dragonstone in this promo. Here is stupefying part of that: how is there no new high-born family or army garrisoned at Dragonstone? Dragonstone is valuable real estate. No one claimed it or was assigned it after Stannis Baratheon abandoned the castle to travel to Braavos then to the North of Westeros? Stannis didn’t leave a garrison at Dragonstone to hold it until he returned? If he didn’t, that was a strange tactic – abandon your stronghold with no means of reacquiring it.
Most-if-not-all of the technical machinations in the A Song of Ice and Fire books are left out of the TV series.
