Geoff Johns Becomes President of DC Entertainment

Geoff Johns DC Entertainment

Geoff Johns Gets Role of President and CCO of DC Entertainment. It looks like Warner Bros. DCEU franchise is now in the hands of a comic book expert as Geoff Johns has been confirmed as President and Chief Creative Officer of DC Entertainment for the film and TV divisions.

Confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter, Geoff Johns was promoted to the title in May, where he became the head of DC Films with Jon Berg. He was possibly given the title after the negative responses to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Johns will be reporting to Diane Nelson, the President of DC Entertainment, President of Warner Bros. Consumer Products and President and Chief Content Officer of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Despite getting the role of President, Johns will continue to guide the film and television adaptations of any DC Comics-based property as the CCO.

Geoff Johns is known for his work in comics, so seeing him run the DCEU should push the franchise into the right direction. Johns has worked on the script for Wonder Woman and is in the process of writing the Batman movie with Ben Affleck.
