it was revealed that the second season doesn’t pick up directly from the cliffhanger in episode eight. Events are told from Jamie’s point of view. Said Heughan, “Jamie has to deal with the relationships he has with his late father and his sister. We see his pride, his stubborn side. He’s a less idealistic man.”
