Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Celebration Reel Video
A movie featurette for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) has been released for the Gareth Edwards directed film. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story featurette entitled ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story – Celebration Reel’ contains brand new footage from the upcoming Star Wars prequel film. There are extensive shots where the camera is held on characters’ faces. Battle scenes and tense moments also abound, including Captain Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) being arrested by storm troopers. There are scenes in the featurette where Gareth Edwards is shooting the film, but coterminous, is giving commentary about the shooting of the film. The viewer sees various prep shoots for different scenes in the film in the featurette. There are many new, colorful aliens, robots, etc. in Rogue One from the montage shoot about half-way through the featurette.
During a rebel gunner scene, a behind-the-scenes person shows an actor in an alien suit how to laugh after firing a long gun.
The featurette ends with Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) saying “May the force be with us.” I look forward to seeing that scene in the film (and in the next trailer).
Rogue One: A Star Wars also stars Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Ben Mendelsohn, James Earl Jones, Forest Whitaker, Alistair Petrie, Jonathan Aris, Riz Ahmed, Genevieve O’Reilly, Arthur L. Bernstein, Emeson Nwolie, Sam Wilkinson, and Wen Jiang.
