The Strain: Season 4 Trailer 2 and TV Spot
The second TV show trailer and a TV show commercial for the fourth season of The Strain has been released by FX. The tagline for the new The Strain: Season 4 promo entitled ‘Into Darkness’ is: “A new species has risen… Is this the end of humanity? Brace for the final season of The Strain.” It is extremely rare that a narrative lets the bad guy win, thereby dominating the world as they had set out to do. The Strain is doing that with its fourth and final season of the horror TV show.
The new master (Eldritch Palmer plus nine months of transformation) and his new plan are the meat of this new trailer. Dr. Ephraim Goodweather (Corey Stoll) – and the viewer – are trying to figure out what that new plan is. I hope its good.
The Strain: Season 4’s plot synopsis: based on book series by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan, “As the fourth and final season begins, nine months have passed. The world has fallen into darkness, and the strigoi are in control. The explosion at the end of season three triggered a global nuclear apocalypse. The resulting nuclear winter liberated the strigoi, allowing them to move about during daytime, and allowing the Master to establish a totalitarian regime.
Preying on the fears of the populace, the Master and his minions have created an unsettling alliance in “The Partnership.” The majority of humans are now working for the strigoi, operating with a single understanding — collaborate or die. With the world in disarray and our heroes disbanded, each of them will have to overcome personal hardship and defy death for even the smallest chance at fighting back… All the while, the Master reigns supreme, furthering his scheme for the end of the world as we know it. In the face of annihilation…do our heroes have what it takes to save humankind?”
The Strain: Season 4 stars Miguel Gomez, Richard Sammel, Jonathan Hyde, Kevin Durand, David Bradley, Max Charles, Ruta Gedmintas, David Bradley, and Rupert Penry-Jones.
