Netflix‘s Stranger Things: Season 2 TV show trailer and TV show commercial and Stranger Things: Season 1 recap video. The Stranger Things: Season 2 TV show trailer was released earlier this year at the 2017 San Diego Comic-Con International. The trailer features the return of almost all of the main characters from the first season of Stranger Things as well as the new characters added to its continuing narrative. The trailer also features a new threat for the protagonists.

Both the Season 2 trailer and TV Spot (from Superbowl 51) feature the four main leads in Ghostbuster Halloween costumes. The 80’s atmosphere of the TV series has always been one of Stranger Things‘ primary strengths. Season 2 is going to take full advantage of that, and their new fan-base (the people that discovered Stranger Things after all of the acclaim it garnered), for its upcoming season.

Having just finished reading Ready Player One, the video game Season 1 recap video is particularly pleasurable to view. The recap places the viewer into a video game like the OASIS did throughout Ready Player One‘s narrative. Outside of Ready Player One, the video game references in the recap video bring back a lot of memories i.e. nostalgia.

Stranger Things: Season 2’s plot synopsis: “It’s 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the demogorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.”

Stranger Things: Season 2 stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, Cara Buono, Charlie Heaton, Matthew Modine, Sadie Sink, Dacre Montgomery, Brett Gelman, Linnea Berthelsen, Sean Astin, and Paul Reiser.
