Tomb Raider Reboot to Start Shooting in January

Tomb Raider is already on the fast track to get made, which is the reason that the film will begin production as early as January. The reboot starring Alicia Vikander will start filming next year, so it’s certainly a surprise to hear that Tomb Raider is already happening.

My Entertainment World reported that the Tomb Raider reboot would start shooting in January with locations including South Africa and the UK. There haven’t been any other announcements on any other locations at the moment. The film will be an origin story focused on a younger Lara Croft that is similar to the new video game. Tomb Raider will have Lara going on a journey in search of her father and confront some secrets from their past. Walter Goggins has already been cast to play the villain in the movie.
