The Villainess Trailer 2

The second and final movie trailer for The Villainess / AK-Nyeo (2017) has been released. This movie trailer shows the viewer the Pre-government sponsored life of Sook-hee (Ok-bin Kim) and what happened to her after the government got their hands on her (think The Bourne Identity). The previous trailer showed more of the aftermath of her training.

The Villainess looks like a great action movie with some of the most breath-taking stunts that I have seen in some time.

Byung-gil Jung‘s The Villainess also stars Seo-hyung Kim, Ha-kyun Shin, and Jun Sung.

The Villainess‘ plot synopsis: “Trained to be an assassin in Yanbian, China, from a very young age, Sook-hee has only ever known a life of killing. When South Korea’s Intelligence Agency captures her following a bloody gun-and-knife fight with an entire gang (whom she dispatches single-handedly), she is given the chance to use her deadly skills as a sleeper agent.

After an intense rehabilitation and schooling process, she takes on a new name and identity. Soon, she begins to realize that the path of a killer is a not just a lonely road but also one that might be without return. Hope appears in the form of a young, handsome neighbor (Sung Joon). But a man from her violent past also makes an unexpected reappearance (Shin Ha-Kyun). This is not just another twisted Korean revenge thriller— it’s a reinvention of action cinema.”
