The CW’s Superhero Fight Club 2.0 Video
Superhero Fight Club 2.0 has been released by The CW. Superhero Fight Club 2.0 features the lead characters from Supergirl, Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow. This video perfectly shows the personalities of each character, especially the comedy relief characters of Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) and Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes). Though the video begins with comedy (The Flash and Supergirl as obviously friends) with Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) the straight man in the room, I expected everyone to eventually fight each other. Instead, the viewer gets the Alia Atreides training sequence from Frank Herbert‘s Messiah of Dune. Everyone in the room begins fighting a murderball then multiple murderballs.
The video is cool and inventive, something other TV stations, besides the USA Network, rarely do. As a promotional instrument, Superhero Fight Club 2.0 does a great job of cross-promoting all of The CW’s TV series to the audiences of each series that might not watch any of the other TV shows.
For Superhero Fight Club 3.0, I hope that we get to see the heroes actually engage each other in combat. 3.0 probably will not be out until the next Fall TV season. Season 3 of The Flash began last night. Season 5 of Arrow begins tonight. Supergirl: Season 2 begins on October 10, 2016. Legends of Tomorrow : Season 2 begins on October 13, 2016.
