Box Office: Oct. 2-4, 2009

Everybody loves zombies. Zombieland premiered in the Number One spot at the box office this weekend with $25 Million. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs was Second with $16.7 Million for $100 Million so far. Toy Story / Toy Story 2 (3D) premiered in Third Place with $12.5 Million. The Invention of Lying premiered in Fourth Place with $7.3 Million. Surrogates was Fifth with $7.3 Million. Whip It (which premiered this weekend), Fame (2009), The Informant!, and Love Happens rounded out the top ten respectively.

I like its trying to infuse horror w/ comedy but I don't think it is trying to copy Shaun of the Dead.
