DUCK DUCK GOOSE (2018) Teaser Trailer: Animated Geese Will Get Plucked Up

Duck Duck Goose Teaser Trailer

Chris Jenkins‘ Duck Duck Goose (2018) movie teaser trailer stars Jim Gaffigan, Zendaya, Lance Lim, Greg Proops and Stephen Fry. Duck Duck Goose‘s plot synopsis: The story centers on a high-flying bachelor goose named Peng who is injured in flight and finds himself saddled with two adorably demanding ducklings on a long journey south that will turn this scrappy threesome into a family.

This movie is not only Jenkins’ directorial debut, but this will be the first animated feature by the Chinese animation studio Original Forces, who previously did some work on video games like Grand Theft Auto V, Need for Speed: The Run, The Sims 3 and League of Legends. Original Forces also gave a helping hand on other animated projects like Dragons: Riders of Berk and  the 2016 feature film Ratchet & Clank.

On the surface, it looks like your typical animated kids’ flick with a predictable story similar to Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur, this time with a grumpy goose who ends up stuck with two little cute geese and now they have to work together in order to make it to their desired destination. However, considering how it’s from a studio’s first take on a movie, the animation is surprisingly well done. This is a good sign that some talented artists and animators worked hard on this project. I wish I could say the same for the writers.
