ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox Fall 2016-2017 TV Premiere Dates

ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox 2016-2017 TV Premiere Dates. The fall, mid-season 2016-2017 premiere dates and weekly schedule for broadcast channels ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox has been released for their new and returning TV shows.

There are many new, high profile TV shows returning to the aforementioned channels, some of whom have their origins in motion pictures. Gotham and Empire are returning to Fox along with the TV adaptation of Lethal Weapon. After viewing the trailer for Lethal Weapon, the show will be either or miss. There will not be a middle ground.

NBC has The Voice returning as well as Dick Wolfe‘s trio of Chicago TV shows. Blindspot, “last year’s top new series in the 18-49 demo,” is back for its second season while Law and Order: SVU returns for its eighteenth season.

I am really looking forward to what Bill Paxton does on CBS with Training Day. The new TV series looks very good, at the top of the food chain for movie-to-TV adaptations. CBS hits Scorpion, The Big Bang Theory, and 2 Broke Girls are all returning.

ABC’s Designated Survivor looks excellent while the remainder of the new shows look middle of the road. That may have been on purpose. Disney owns the station after all. A TV series like Sons of Anarchy will never air of ABC. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Quantico, Black-ish, and How to Get Away With Murder are all returning.
