American Crime Story The People v. O.J. Simpson Trailer and Promos. FX‘s American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson (2016) TV show trailer, TV commercials (‘On Bundy Drive…,’ ‘The Lie,’ ‘Teaser: Back,’ ‘Launch,’ ‘The Bronco,’ ‘The Letter’) have been released. The promos feature various aspects of the series as well as key moments, morbidly iconic moments, before the trial and during it. They are fascinating. I didn’t know what to think of this series when it was first announced. Now I think it might be interesting. The trailer sealed the deal, showing (fictional or other-wise) conflicts and machinations outside and behind-the-scenes of the trial.

American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson‘s plot synopsis: “American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson, the first installment of the new limited series from prolific producer Ryan Murphy, will debut on FX in early 2016 with an all-star cast portraying the key figures in the infamous O.J. Simpson murder trial. The cast includes Cuba Gooding Jr. as O.J. Simpson, John Travolta as defense attorney Robert Shapiro, David Schwimmer as defense attorney Robert Kardashian, Sarah Paulson as prosecutor Marcia Clark, Courtney B. Vance as defense attorney Johnnie Cochran, and Bruce Greenwood as Los Angeles County District Attorney Gil Garcetti.

Based on the book The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson by Jeffrey Toobin, the limited series is a look at the O.J. Simpson trial told from the perspective of the lawyers. It explores the chaotic behind-the-scenes dealings and maneuvering on both sides of the court, and how a combination of prosecution overconfidence, defense shrewdness, and the LAPD’s history with the city’s African-American community gave a jury what it needed: reasonable doubt.”

American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson stars Cuba Gooding Jr., John Travolta, Sarah Paulson, Courtney B. Vance, Selma Blair, Connie Britton, Sterling K. Brown, Kenneth Choi, Christian Clemenson, Bruce Greenwood, Nathan Lane, Kelly Dowdle, Billy Magnussen, and David Schwimmer.
