Amityville: The Reawakening Movie Images Have Been Released. Franck Khalfoun‘s Amityville: The Reawakening is an official entry into the Amityville series – not another ripoff solely made to turn a profit from the fame of the name alone. Or isn’t it?

It’s hard to tell at this point, as we only have two images, a title (which is both Amityville: The Awakening and Amityville: The Reawakening, at this point. Please, for the love of god, decide), and a plot that sounds familiar. This could obviously be good, as Khalfoun has been involved with Maniac and High Tension, but another entry into a decade-old horror franchise is rarely inventive and well made, not to mention, scary.

According to Bloody-Disgusting,

In Amityville: The Awakening, in theater April 15th, 2016, “Belle, her little sister, and her comatose twin brother move into a new house with their single mother Joan in order to save money to help pay for her brother’s expensive healthcare. But when strange phenomena begin to occur in the house including the miraculous recovery of her brother, Belle begins to suspect her Mother isn’t telling her everything and soon realizes they just moved into the infamous Amityville house.

For now, we have two stills to show you.

Marco Margaritoff

I grew up in Hamburg to a German father and Ecuadorian mother. Obsessive student of film, Hip-Hop, and stand-up comedy. I love the dark dreambox that is the cinema auditorium. I love mountains and the ocean, but am equally exhilarated by the jungle of the city. I hope to one day create something that hits someone in the brain with thunderous effect.
