Ariel Vromen‘s The Angel (2018) movie trailer stars Marwan Kenzari, Toby Kebbell, Hannah Ware, Tsahi Halevi, and Waleed Zuaiter. The Angel‘s plot synopsis: “True story of Ashraf Marwan, who was President Nasser’s son-in-law and special adviser and confidant to his successor Anwar Sadat – while simultaneously Israeli Intelligence’s most precious asset of the 20th century. Based on NYT bestselling book ‘The Angel: The Egyptian Spy Who Saved Israel‘ by Uri Bar-Joseph.”

What is edifying about films like The Angel is that they highlight a distinct part of foreign history that most western audiences are completely unaware of. The Angel seems as though it is a film of humanity overriding loyalty to one’s own country.
