ARROW: Manu Bennett Will Return as Deathstroke

Manu Bennett Slade Wilson

Manu Bennett to Reprise Role of Deathstroke on Arrow. A major baddie from The CW’s Arrow is about to make his return soon. Manu Bennett, who plays Oliver’s friend-turned-foe Slade Wilson, will reprise his role during an episode in the second half of the third season.

MTV News first gave the report that Deathstroke is scheduled to return on Arrow in the 14th episode of the show’s third season. The last time we saw Deathstroke was in the second season finale when Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) imprisoned him at Lian Yu, a maximum security prison located on the island that Oliver and Slade were stuck on. Slade swore he would get his revenge on the vigilante, so does his return mean he escaped? So far there hasn’t been any other details on how Slade would return, but our only guesses are during a flashback or a cameo. Maybe he had a hand in Sara’s murder as many have speculated?

Manu Bennett did say that he would be up for returning to the show in some capacity, plus he also a friend of Matt Nable, the actor playing Ra’s al Ghul. Perhaps Ra’s al Ghul frees him from his prison and the two team up against Team Arrow? Well we won’t know until Arrow comes back during the winter break. So what do you guys think? Are you excited for Deathstroke’s return?
