ARROW: Ray Palmer Will Be The Atom, Just Not on Arrow

The Atom

Ray Palmer Won’t Become The Atom on Arrow. Brandon Routh recently revealed that he’s seen the concept art for the superhero suit of The Atom, but don’t expect him to wear it on Arrow. Executive producer Marc Guggenheim weighed in on where The Atom may appear, but its not what we’d expect.

When Green Arrow TV asked Mark Guggenheim about whether The Atom would appear on Arrow, he said, “I think anything is possible. My instinct is that if Ray Palmer’s going to shrink, he’ll probably shrink on another show. With The Flash in existence, there’s no real compelling reason for us to do super powers on Arrow. We can bring characters to Flash to have super powers. We have plans for Ray that don’t involve shrinking, but our plans for Ray are actually really cool.”

If what Mark said is true, then we can expect a character to make a jump from one show to the other. So it looks like Arrow will stay more grounded without bringing in super powers to their show. On the other hand, The Flash’s world is filled with metahumans, making this a perfect fit for Ray Palmer to enter Central City as The Atom. What do you guys think of this?
