Assassin’s Creed Trailer 2 and Poster

The second U.S. movie trailer and movie poster for Assassin’s Creed (2016) has been released by 20th Century Fox. The first movie trailer and the international movie trailer for Assassin’s Creed were so-so promos for the film. They were good but nothing special, especially if you had not played the video game on which it was based. This film trailer for Assassin’s Creed is quite different. This is the best trailer thus far in every way. The first trailers never gave the viewer a sense of who Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) was before he was killed. This trailer does so. Lynch is sarcastic and pugnacious (the state is about to kill him so why hold back).

This trailer shows how Lynch reacts to being in the Animus (a virtual reality machine rediscovered, developed, and sold by Abstergo Industries. It allows the user to read a subject’s genetic memory, and project it onto an external screen in three dimensions). The viewer sees Lynch running and jumping and reacting to the stimuli that he sees, smells, and feels in Animus.

In this trailer, the viewer also gets to see more of the other “inhabitants” of Abstergo’s facility, who also seem to have a specific genetic memory.

For those on the fence of seeing this film or not, this trailer is going to push many people into the ‘go see’ column.
