BATMAN vs. SUPERMAN (2015): Actresses Testing, Snyder gives Plot Hints

Gal Gadot Elodie Yung Olga Kurylenko Man of Steel 2

Gal Gadot, Elodie Yung, Olga Kurylenko testing for Batman vs. Superman Role. An unspecified role in Batman vs. Superman (2015) aka Man of Steel 2 once revolved Jaimie Alexander and her comments on the subject is now testing actresses Gal Gadot, Elodie Yung, Olga Kurylenko. Speculation is that the role is that of as Princess Diana of Themyscira / Wonder Woman, hence the high-end auditions.

If its true, if these actresses are auditioning for a Wonder Woman cameo or role in Batman vs. Superman, I am surprised more Hollywood actresses are not auditioning for it as well. I am very surprised not to hear that Gina Carano is auditioning for the role. As we reported earlier, she seems like a natural fit for the part. She is certainly more higher profile than she was three years ago, a statement that could be attached to both Gal Gadot and Elodie Yung.

The casting description for the unspecified Batman vs. Superman role is “tall, brunette, athletic and exotic” which matches “the Wonder Woman character in the comics.”

Regarding Zack Snyder‘s Batman vs. Superman plot hints given at today’s Yahoo!-hosted Q & A for the release of Man of Steel on Blu-ray and DVD:

First, he said that Superman killing Zod will have ramifications in the sequel. If I had to guess (and that’s all I can really do), the ramification isn’t that Superman killed Zod, but that Superman was willing to kill at all.

Moving on, Snyder talked about his approach to Superman as the story of an alien, and said “Lex [Luthor] loves calling him an alien.”  It’s more than likely that Luthor will be in the sequel, but before everyone goes nuts, Snyder could have also been referring to Lex’s behavior in the comics.

Finally, despite being overwhelmingly vague, the most substantial (and I use that in the loosest sense of the word) aspect was Snyder talking about the “versus” part of the title.  He wouldn’t specify whether or not Bats and Supes start out as enemies and become friends or vice versa, but it’s likely the former.  Perhaps the aforementioned ramifications are Batman realizing that Superman is dangerous, trying to stop him, and then discovering this Kryptonian ain’t so bad after all.  Then they team up to stop a larger threat of some sort.  To put it another way: “vs.” as the beginning; “&” at the end.
