Box Office: Jan. 29-31, 2016: KUNG FU PANDA 3, THE REVENANT, STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS

Box Office Jan. 29-31, 2016. Kung Fu Panda 3 premiered in the Number One spot at the box office over the weekend with $41 Million. The Revenant was Second with $12.4 Million for $138.1 Million so far. Star Wars: The Force Awakens was Third with $10.7 Million for $895 Million so far. World-wide, Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens has brought in over $1.98 Billion. The Finest Hours premiered in Fourth Place with $10.3 Million. Ride Along 2 was Fifth with $8.3 Million. The Boy, Dirty Grandpa, The 5th Wave, Fifty Shades of Black (which premiered this weekend), and 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi rounded out the top ten respectively.

Kung Fu Panda 3 is a 2016 3D American-Chinese computer-animated action comedy martial arts film, produced by DreamWorks Animation and Oriental DreamWorks, and distributed by 20th Century Fox. It was directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson and Alessandro Carloni. The film was written by Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger, produced by Melissa Cobb, and executive produced by Guillermo del Toro. It is a sequel to the 2011 film Kung Fu Panda 2 and the third installment in the Kung Fu Panda franchise. The film features the voices of Jack Black, J. K. Simmons, Bryan Cranston, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Lucy Liu, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, David Cross, James Hong, and Kate Hudson. Also Jean-Claude Van Damme and Randall Duk Kim reprise their roles as Master Croc and Oogway from the two films.

The Finest Hours is a 2016 American historical disaster drama film directed by Craig Gillespie and produced by Walt Disney Pictures from a screenplay written by Eric Johnson, Scott Silver, and Paul Tamasy, based on The Finest Hours: The True Story of the U.S. Coast Guard’s Most Daring Sea Rescue by Michael J.
