The films in the Top Ten that opened this weekend at the box office:

The Grudge is a 2020 American supernatural horror film written and directed by Nicolas Pesce, and produced by Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert, and Taka Ichise. At first announced as the reboot of the 2004 American remake of the Japanese horror film Ju-On: The Grudge, the film ended up being a sidequel that takes place during and after the events of the 2004 film and its two direct sequels,[6] and is the fourth installment in The Grudge film series. The film stars Andrea Riseborough, Demián Bichir, John Cho, Betty Gilpin, Lin Shaye and Jacki Weaver, and follows a police officer who investigated several murders that are seemingly connected to a single house.

Next week sees the release of: Underwater, 1917, Just Mercy, and a plethora of other mainstream and independent films. Find my predictions on these releases in the weekly The Bottom Line column. A preview: 1917 will be Number One at the box office.
