The tweens and their books. The Twilight Saga: New Moon premiered in the Number One spot this weekend at the box office with an unbelievable $140.7 million. Color me impressed and saddened all at the same time. The Blind Side premiered in Second Place with $34.5 Million. 2012 was Third with $26.5 million for $108.2 Million so far. Planet 51 premiered in Fourth Place with $12.6 Million. A Christmas Carol (2009) was Fifth with $12.2 Million. Precious: Based on the Novel “Push” by Sapphire, The Men Who Stare at Goats, Couples Retreat, The Fourth Kind, and Law Abiding Citizen rounded out the top ten respectively.
