Box Office

Box Office: Weekend of July 25-27, 2008

Was there really any doubt? The Bat was Number One again this weekend. The Dark Knight brought in $75.6 Million at the box office, bringing its total to $314. 2 Million. The first premiere of the weekend, Step Brothers, opened with $30 Million for Second Place. Mamma Mia! was Third with $17.8 Million. The second premiere of the weekend, The X-Files: I Want to Believe, debuted with $10.2 Million. I thought X-Files would open a little stronger than this but with The Bat and a new Will Ferrell comedy out, I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised. Journey to the Center of the Earth was Fifth, bringing in $9.4 Million over the weekend. Hancock, Wall-E, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Space Chimps and Wanted were the remainder of the top ten respectively.
